We’re approaching the eve of NHL training camps and there looks to be a handful of player-team matches waiting to be made. Some teams clearly have openings on the third and fourth lines, other teams have plenty of cap space remaining. And several dozen unrestricted free agents with NHL experience are looking for work.

Much to See on Versus this Season

For hockey fans experiencing withdrawal this summer, the good news is that another season is around the corner. Even better news is that the NHL on Versus will once again feature a number of must-see games.

2008-09 NHL Schedule

The NHL released its 2008-09 schedule, a slate that includes opening games in Stockholm and Prague as well as a Winter Classic at Wrigley.
